LOW CARB MEAL IDEAS!

If you have found yourself being a little more sedentary at home, a low carb diet can help offset weight gain and boredom eating.

BUT FIRST, IS A LOW CARB DIET FOR YOU🍳🥑?! A low carb diet typically means eating less than 1 gram of carbs per pound of bodyweight. So, if you weigh 150 lbs, less than 150 grams of carbs per day would be considered low carb in my book. Low carb diets don’t just mean eat only protein & veggies though! Low carb means you need to ensure you’re eating more healthy dietary fats in order to have energy. Carbs and fats are both sources of energy, so you need a good amount of at least one! 👍🏼Rule of thumb: when carbs are low, fats are high (but still stay mindful of total calories) 🥑A low carb diet is ideal for: -Sedentary people -Burning stubborn belly fat -Reducing sugar cravings -Reducing PCOS symptoms -Reducing inflammation To be clear, low carb does not mean keto. Keto is a bit different, where you’re consuming 70% of your calories from fat, some protein, and bare minimum carbs. BUT, WHY LOW CARB? Studies show it is helps minimize insulin spikes, manages blood sugar, promotes fat burning, and gives you steady energy without crashes (once you’re used to it) 🚫Low carb is NOT good for someone who needs carbs to give them fast energy, who is naturally pretty lean, or absolutely loves their carbs and could feel restricted. Curious about calorie intake on a low carb diet? Go check out my 🌟FREE fat loss course (click here) and I’ll walk you through calorie & macro counting tips that you won’t find on google! Forward this to a friend who you think this would be helpful for!❤️! PS: if you just want to cut back a teensy bit on carbs, replace your usual snack with one of these options! Ok - now let's get into a bunch of different meal combos that are low in carbs, high in protein, and contain healthy dietary fat to keep you full!

More low carb meals:
